Easy: We're Lena and Mike. We're foodies, beer lovers, tequila drinkers, pizzaholics, and obsessed with cheese. We're always trying new restaurants and bars, whether new to us or the world. We don't claim to be experts, but we just really, really like food (and drinks)... a lot.
When you meet at a bar, you're bound to have at least that in common. We discovered our love of exploring new restaurants together. From those first few dates until now, we've only just scratched the surface of what is available to experience in and around our home state of Connecticut, from classic dishes to new and exciting experiences.
Lena comes from a good-sized family of 7 (10 if you include pets!). She has worked in and out of restaurants as a server, and knows a thing or two about the ins and outs of the food industry. Currently an apparel designer by day, nights and weekends are spent finding new recipes to make and take to work in her signature mason jars.
Mike comes from a proud extended family of Italian and German culture. While no one's cooking will beat either grandmother's, he's willing to try (almost) anything put in front of him. Hes worked in just about every field of work and currenty pursuing a degree in business managment. Maintaining general health and excercising regularly are important in his daily life. Road biking is a sunny day hobby.
